Flexibility in product design
Plastic cage can be directly injected into the complex shape of the
structural form, it is easy to optimize the design of bearings.Plastic retainer
can be equipped with oil groove in the window hole and inside and outside
diameter to facilitate oil storage, thus greatly improving the lubrication
conditions of bearings.
The centrifugal force of the cage is small
The density of plastic is low, only about 1.3. Copper
is 8.9.In high speed rotating bearings, the plastic cage has low centrifugal
force, low starting torque and flexible bearing rotation.
Resistance to friction and wear, low temperature rise of bearing
Friction occurs between the rolling body and the retainer pocket
during bearing operation. The friction coefficient between steel and nylon is
much smaller than that between steel and copper.Therefore, the starting torque
of plastic cage bearing is smaller than that of metal cage bearing, which is
conducive to reducing the generation of friction heat.Especially under the
condition of boundary lubrication, the plastic cage bearing has better
self-lubrication performance and is not easy to be stuck suddenly when the
bearing is in low oil or broken oil.
Plastic cage has good toughness, impact resistance and fracture
resistance
Plastic retainer has better plastic to fight damage ability than
metal retainer, when metal retainer is hit seriously, can produce permanent
deformation or fracture, and plastic retainer suffers external force
temporarily after deformation, reliable its flexibility restores original
state, because this plastic retainer is more easy to damage.
Acid and corrosion resistance
The acid and corrosion resistance of engineering plastics is
obviously better than that of metals.
